When the Holmes Dining Hall was renovated approximately 16 years ago, the epoxy floor in the kitchen was patched and only replaced in some areas. This type of flooring material can be expected to last about ten (10) years. The existing floor is beyond its useful life and showing signs of deterioration. The University requested that MSCBA assist with replacement of the floor in Summer 2021 to avoid any sanitation concerns for the fall semester. The Authority is able to expedite the project utilizing the existing procurement of the design and construction team that completed the Holmes Dining Hall Dish Room renovations in 2019. This project will follow the requirements set forth in MGL Ch 193.
