The Massachusetts Maritime Academy has purchased a 2.15 acre lot of land on Kendall Rae Place in close proximity to the campus. Plans for the land include the development of a 236 space student parking lot that will include paving and new surface lighting. The new parking lot will be serviced via a shuttle to transport the cadets to and from the campus. Design documents are currently underway through JL3 Consulting Services with expected plan completion and permitting by mid-June. Construction is anticipated to take roughly three months with planned completion by late November 2020.
