Project shall include the replacement of the existing rooftop chiller at Smith Hall, updating the automatic temperate controls and repair/replacement of student room fan coil units as required. Chiller and fan coil units as identified as beyond their service life on the MSCBA Building database. Updating controls will allow for centralized control of individual room temperatures and save on overall energy costs. This summer’s work will also include access platforms at the new Make Up Air units installed last summer at the artist residence. This phase includes the design and construction of 3 metal platforms on the roof, attached to existing dunnage. MSCBA will contract the architectural services from the recent SCBA-0918 - MSCBA On-Call Designers Submissions RFP. The General Contractor will be procured under Chapter 149.
