Athletic Field Foot ball Field Upgrades & New Pressbox - 449-05 WES

Renovation of the track and field athletic facilities includes removal and reinstallation of a synthetic turf system for the multi-purpose field, renovation of the track base. and the re-surfacing of the track. Other related improvements include associated track and field facilities and accessories, site utilities and drainage, new fencing, site paving and landscaping. The architect for this project is Cambridge Seven Associates, Inc.. The contractor is Fontaine Brothers, Inc. The estimated construction cost is $2.2 Million.

The new pressbox project on the track and field includes site preparation, cast-in-place concrete foundation, steel structure, pre-fabricated/pre-finished press box

Scanlon Phase 1 Renovations - 450-05 WES

This project includes installation of new fire protection and fire alarm systems, renovations to corridors including acoustical ceilings and painting. The project also includes insallation of a new generator, transformer, switchgear and related electrical work, and basement ventilation system. The architect and general contractor team is comprised of Caolo & Bieniek Associates, Inc., and Whiteway Construcation Co., Inc. The estimated construction cost is $1.5 Million.

Residence Halls Renovations - 466-06 WES

The Building Authority is planning a multiple-phase, multiple-residence hall major renovations project at Westfield State College. The construction is scheduled for the summers of 2007 and 2008 to be completed by August, 2008. Estimated construction cost is $3 Million. The Authority has requested qualifications and received submissions in June 2006. Preliminary design is scheduled to begin Fall of 2006.
